Golfers visiting the center of Asia can play on two award-winning courses at Laguna National, the site of international golf competitions. The courses have received numerous honors throughout the years and have been named among the greatest in the world by Golf Digest International and Asian Golf Monthly. The Masters and Classic Courses were built by Dye Design, a company renowned for building some of the world's best golf courses. International golf championships, like the Caltex Masters, have been held there and have featured well-known golfers like Nick Faldo, Colin Montgomerie, and Ernie Els.
Laguna National is a prominent golf club in Singapore. Over the years, it has won numerous national and international awards, propelling it to the pinnacle of Singapore's golf scene. In a 1998 Straits Times list of Singapore's golf courses, the Bukit Course at SICC, the Garden Course at TMCC, and the Serapong Course at Sentosa Island all tied for top place. They were referred to as the Fab Four and received five-star ratings in the Straits Times ranking. Laguna National achieved notoriety on a global scale when Golf Digest International ranked Laguna National the greatest golf course in Singapore a year later. This course ranking exercise covered golf courses from all of the major golfing nations worldwide.
The 24 Best Holes in Asia and the Top 500 Holes in the World were determined by a survey conducted by the international golf publication Golf Magazine. Laguna National's golf course passed inspection. The 13th hole on Laguna National's Classic Course was recognized as one of the top golf holes in the world. They included Pebble Beach and Augusta National in the United States, St. Andrew's and Carnoustie in the United Kingdom, and others.
